Glad you finally found the reason. TB certainly crops up a lot on death certificates all through that era and up until about 1960.
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Thank you for the update. I am abroad on holiday at the moment and I have only just seen your post. I am pleased that you found the causes of the deaths. It is amazing that the twins could both die within a couple of days of each other. I did a lot of research on the family, after my last post, but all my information is at home.
