Three Coins and the Blue Gardenia

Does anyone have a photo of either of these? I'm interested in the layout of them- I understand they had 'all nighters', I think in the basements of each in the mid 60's but am interested to know what was upstairs- were they pubs or coffee bars? I even read somewhere that the Blue Gardenia had a card room on the upper floor. I'd love to see photos but have been unable to find any anywhere.

If you haven't already looked the BG gets plenty of mentions on the site which may include some indication of layout but probably no photos

Cheers- those posts are where I got most of my information from, but I've not found anything describing the lay out of the BG and the Three Coins. I've also read conflicting information on whether they were clubs/bars/coffee bars or a combination of all 3! It's research for my latest book which is set in 1965, (prequel to my first book Bournemouth 90), and I like to keep it as accurate as possible in terms of what the places looked like, drinks they served, hours they opened etc.

In the early 1960's, there was an Asian restaurant in Albion Walk called the P & I. From memory, it was on the ground floor and the Three Coins Club was downstairs. I often went to both of these places between around 1962 and 1966. I think that, later, the P & I Restaurant became the Lido Review Bar, but I might be mistaken. I only went in the Blue Gardenia in White Horse Street when it was a ground floor cafe. If you want information from people who frequently visited these places in the 1960's, including 'Mods', then join this Facebook site and ask for information there (use the 'search' facility on the site): https://www.facebook.com/groups/467503957372877

The P & I Restaurant was there around 1962/63. The Three Coins was there at, or about, the same time. The Lido Review Bar came later - 1969 until 1972.
