Rather than keep adding to the now massive and unwieldy "Leeds Lost Pubs" thread I'm putting these pics of the Skinner's Arms on a separate thread.

Of course the Skinners has been in the local news recently - for all the wrong reasons. Like the Hayfield, Gaiety and Fforde Grene before it the activities of drug-dealers has led to the police closing the premises down.

And a rather different sign affixed to the front door advising of the pub's closure. It states that it is an offence to enter the premises before 26 February 2008.

I loved the Skinners. Good pint of Tetleys which you could take to The Corner Cafe. Perfect night out

I didn't live far from the Skinner's arms and the cherry tree in the 60s they were two great pubs.i have some happy memories of living in that area

Worked there for a while in the late 1970s. Harry O’Connor was the landlord. He drove a very nice Mercedes.
