The Cross Keys, Water Lane

Post by Kluur »

Hi,

I'm looking for some information about The Cross Keys on Water Lane. I currently work there and myself and the rest of the staff have little/no idea about the history of it, other than that it was built in 1802, was abandoned for a while and became a tyre storage unit until it was refurbished. There seems to be no photographs of it throughout history that I can find.

If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated!

Building shown on all OS maps since 1850s, identified as Cross Keys on 1891 map. License seems to have lapsed c1939/40.
