Hi, thanks.

I was toying with the idea of adapting my full map of Leeds to show bygone pubs, like on this one just of the city centre. I did research in Leeds City Library but expanding my searches to all of Leeds, especially considering the 1974 boundary changes seemed too daunting, but it might be interesting. :)

So to be clear you have only included pubs that still exist if they exist under a new name e.g. You have included Head of Steam which does still exist but has had several incarnations

There was a pub on the Headrow opposite the art gallery roughly where the Morrisons local now is (Art Wimpenny's?)
Also there is a wine/cocktail bar which has had at least two incarnations just below the junction of Portland Gate with Cookridge Street where its entrance is.

Oh dear. I hoped it was clear, but maybe not.

Where a pub still exists I have include the extant name in green. Partly to help people understand the history and get bearings. Otherwise, the map is primarily to show places that are closed and gone. Red recycle markers how places that had different names before closing. Green recycle markers show places that have had multiple names and still run today under a different name. Other even more basic markers show places that only had one name and have closed for good.

I hope this helps. :/

Sorry yes I understood it was pubs that are no longer with us I was just seeking clarity on why some but not all current pubs.

Bourbon in 2008 https://goo.gl/maps/dnZAT6pTnLM2 isnow BaaBar?? and ampretty certain was something before.

The Pub on the Headrow closed prior to Streetview but was roughly here https://goo.gl/maps/dnZAT6pTnLM2 I think it was probably only there for a couple of years

Cheers. All notes and suggestions are helpful. It can be difficult to get clarification on some things even when you're fairly sure something was there, so I may still miss some places unfortunately.
I have no idea how I missed adding Bourbon, as I'd even thought about it whilst doing it!

Bond's definitely on there. It's on the pink City South line. :)
Ostlers was on Trinity Street, round the back of Whitelocks, not Albion Street.

Thanks. I can't find any proper references for Grobs. Was that it's proper name, and also, do you know whereabouts it was in relation to places I have on the map now?

Cheers.
