Map of 150 years of bygone city pubs, bars and clubs

I'm pretty excited to announce and share a new map I've researched and designed showing the last 150 years of pubs bars and clubs in Leeds City Centre.
It's a counterpart to the present day map I've done of all current pubs and bars in all of Leeds. I just finished it and I'm really pleased with it.

That's a good idea, particularly for a few old uns on here. However you seem to have missed on quite a few which have been discussed on here over the last few weeks.

Thanks. I'll check through the thread, but I've not found other sources for these places, unless they existed before 1866, in which case they are purposefully excluded from inclusion on here. It's not been printed yet, so if any of the regulars here have suggestions or corrections, then I may be able to make changes if it's in the next week or so.

Do I understand you to mean that if a pub existed before 1866 and is still there, that it is not included.?

Please don't think I'm trying to be a clever dick, but wasn't the Mecca in the arcade properly called the Mecca Locarno? Also, the much-renamed nightclub in the Merrion Centre was also a Mecca Locarno, as shown in this pic

I can give you the definitive list of public and beer houses between 1866 and, say 1950, but you'll need a bigger map, there are over 1400 of them.

you have done a hell of a good job with the pub map of leeds,i cant find the duncan or the atlas on king st i was in the latter on friday last.

If a pub existed before 1866 and still existed after it, then obviously I've included it. If however, the pub ceased to exist before 1866, then it's been left off. Areas like Kirkgate would've been impossibly crowded if I'd allowed a longer time frame, and 150 years seemed more than generous.

The Duncan and Atlas still exist, so they're not eligible to be on this historical map! They are however on my full present day map of all of Leeds:

I say present day, but it's only accurate up to July 2014.
That was major challenge too. I'm proud of both.
