We were passing through Stourton (well, I'd call it that at that point) on our way through Leeds, whilst winding our circuitous (ie; 'round the houses') route to Otley this morning. We left the roundabout, crossing the railway & heading down Wakefield Road towards Thwaite GateAt this point, did my peripheral vision really see a quite vibrant orange Public House on the right?? (at end of Queen Street)Also.... does memory serve correctly, wasn't this hostelry previously named 'Colonel Mustards' in honour of a charactor in the board-game produed over the road for many years (not that I usually go around noticing public houses, it was simply the colour that took my attention)Plus.... asn't it in one of the 'Disc-World' novels (forget which one) that Terry Pratchett re-named the said boardgame as 'Exclusive Possession'??And.... after our wander around up on the Chevin (& wanting dinner at 'Dunnies'), due to the roadworks in Otley, closing Kirkgate to traffic entering from the south, we were diverted in Burras Lane, onto West Chevin Road.On that point, despite the traffic-chaos, I was glad to see the 'blue-houses' on Guycroft again* , & made sure to point them out to SWMBO, who was quite confused by them* this is the only time I've seen them;http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... ighLight=1
