SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

Noticed the roof had been taken off last week and today saw there's a JCB parked there and the windows have all been taken out. The interior also ripped out and in a skip outside. You can see the tiled floor through the hole where the front door was.Assume it's being knocked down, think it's been empty for a long time. Sad but a sign of the times. Hope The Eagle down the road stays open, it does seem to have customers.

According to 'Mi Mam'the White Stag was built where it isbecause of proposed road widening which in the end never happened.

The "new management" that took it over obviously weren't very good then.What's going to replace it? 200 student pigeon holes?
