SecretLeeds - History, culture and architecture in Leeds

The Bull at Moortown, on Harrogate Rd, used to be a farm that kept bulls chained to a fence outside. When the hotel was built it was known as "The Chained Bull" but its reputation went downhill and had to be referbished and a name change.

The present building is relatively new, 1930`s. The previous chained bull was roughly on the same site and was an early victorian Inn. It was for many years a tram terminus.
