It went years ago, as did all the pubs in that area as has been mentioned before, funnily enough I went on one of those long weekend coach trips to Paris (Arc de Triumph) and the landlord and landlady were on the same trip, really nice people, awful pub though.

Hi harehills-steve,My memories of the pub are in the eighties. There were always a lot of gypsies/travellers in the pub who were alright until they got drunk, then they would just fight amongst themselves. Other customers were from Ireland, often single men, living in a room in the Bayswaters or Harehills Road area. They worked hard all day, labouring, and were in the pub at 5pm every evening, and also at lunchtimes on a weekend. Many would stay until closing time and then stagger home drunk. That was their life.I have not been in the area for a long time and did not know that the pub was no longer there but suspected that it was closed down.Ian.

Yes, Boundary Place I think it was. It was on the corner opposite the blind centre as you say where Roundhay Road splits off to the left and you continue right onto Barrack Road. Not sure what the building is thats there now but it looks quite good.

Boundary Street is is still shown on Google maps although it's been built over by Tribeca House. Perhaps these people are also ghosts waiting for the pub to open:http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 3,,0,19.18
