I had a look around Tetleys brewery a few weeks ago.I had a look at the so called 'magic water well'It isn't much to see really, it's buried a few hundred feet below the brewey.I think much of the myth is that the brewery no longer use this readily available source of water.I can say they do indeed still use the 'magic water' in there brews.I can't post pictures on S.L using Mozzilla browser for some reason.The pictures and story of the well are here on my flickr sets though http://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn ... 954/Cheers     

Very good! Did you look round the rest of the brewery? I still use the mug I bought on my visit in 1984 - if I don't break it in the next two years, it will become a collector's item!

If they just connected the other end of that pipe directly to the sewer, and cut out the middle man, it would have saved me a bloody fortune!!!

It was just a quick whistle stop tour to mainly dispel the myths about tunnels and the well Tasa.Hopfeully i'll get a better look before it closes.I worked there 3 times on the new buildings in the 90's.I've seen most of the brewery already.
