Waiting in traffic on Selby Road looked across and the Wykebeck is shut
Looked like they were just finishing putting metal sheets over the windows and that's a lot of windows.
Another one bites the dust.

hi all
the bird in hand at garforth is closed.
the travelers rest in cross gates is due to re-open sat 1/11/18.
the new proposed wetherspoons pub in cross gates has at last obtained all its planing permission etc.
weatherspoons have re-applied for planing permission for there large listed building at headingley, this time for a 52 bed hotel and bar
will be open to the public,i hope they are successful this time as this is a lovely old building that has been empty for years.

all the best for christmas

The North Leeds club is now demolished, they are just
clearing the site for I think a Heron frozen food outlet
Work on a further conversion of the Dog and Gun started months ago and seems to have stalled

No roof,no windows and little sign of work in progress.
Scheme includes houses to the rearwhich also appear dormant.

Listed building ?
Cash flow ?

hi all
more doom and gloom.
just past the barley mow in bramley and the shutters of doom have appeared on the windows and the car park is fenced off.
also at the other end of the main street the globe is closed and the sign says will be opening as a funeral parlour.
on a brighter note hoping work will soon start on our new weatherspoons here in crossgates.

Would not think it was a listed building as it was only really became a Boozer in the 1930.s when the Gipton Estate was built and it was also quite an ugly lookIng place, both inside and out. (It was my Dads local as there was only there and the Shaftesbury as drinking holes in the area, bearing in mind that owning a car was virtually unknown.

The Arkle in Morley, which has been boarded for a while, is being marketed as a "development opportunity" so (almost certainly) permanently lost.
