Aye, getting exciting. Bit annoyed though that I'm on hols on the 13th and 14th so I won't be one of the first to go there but never mind, it isn't going anywhere. Drapesy, not forgotten to e-mail you the details, I just can't find them! Will send when I do.

Yes that's right. I've been in contact with the Museum Service. Obviously they're tied up with the new museum now but did express an interest in the skulls - In due course they want to meet at the site with us so they can have a look at the skulls with a view, hopefully, of giving them a better home. I'll keep all posted on progress.

Munki if you're around -any info about the other venues in Leeds opening their doors for this this year?Good to hear they are showing interest in the skulls too, could even be their first 'new' exhibit!

There's stuff going on at the Town Hall & the Museum for the week from 7th - 14th (as the 7th September this year is a very big birthday! Our own Town Hall will be a grand 150 years old). There is a big programme of events, which I won't pretend to know off - hand! Leaflets about Heritage Open Days across the city & about events surrounding the anniversary of the Town Hall can be picked up from the Town Hall itself. There is info about the Museum at http://www.leeds.gov.uk/citymuseum/default.aspxIf you go tohttp://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/directory/& put 'Leeds' in the keyword search, it will come up with a list of HOD events in Leeds.
