However the bear staff will then need to be taught how to pull it correctly I would have thought that the bear staff would be too busy looking after the grizzlies, polars etc to worry about serving beer!
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Yup - The Bowlers opens on the 9th July (Fri). Looks good outside and in. Must be a lot of Otley cafes worried as it opens at 7.00am for breakfast.New promotions for the future Fleece (Westgate)are appearig, for after the proposed refurb, and Punch are asking for licensees to run it. Supposedly retaining the tap room and offering mainly local ales. Not Leeds I know but surely one visited by many discerning Leeds drinkers - Indigo Alley in Scarbs is very dead and has bit of ceiling falling in.

Had a look at the Bowling Green on Sunday evening and it certainly seems to have been completed to W's usual high standards very quickly indeed. The tables and chairs have now been moved from the forecourt into the glass roofed room within which looks great. The small menu posted outside looks very restricted, unless there is the usual comprehensive one inside - surely there will be. There seems to be no "theming" relating to the past industries of the Town - Printing machine engineering, paper making, furniture, Samuel Ledgard buses across the road etc etc. - if there is nothing similar inside it will be a sorry omission I think.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
