How long will it last?Meanwhile The Fountain (Yeoman) is up for rent "for a variety of uses subject to Planning Permission". Three guesses what it'll become.... I saw a couple of blokes up a ladder trying to fix some sort of banner as I passed yesterday. I remember thinking, "How about removing all the shrubbery while you're up there?"As for an Irish-themed pub...I thought that particular fad had gone the way of all flesh some years ago?

[quotenick="PhipsMeanwhile The Fountain (Yeoman) is up for rent "for a variety of uses subject to Planning Permission". Three guesses what it'll become.... I thought I'd heard that The Yeoman had been bought by the fuel firm Tates for use as offices etc ?? - I must be "losing it" as they say.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Relax - you are quite correct. I presume Tates are the ones trying to let it. as I undestand it they only wanted the car park space (which they partly own anyway). No chance of it returning to a pub though eh?
