The Crown at the bottom of Tong RoadRose and Crown in ArmleyLord Cardigan in Bramley and Malvern in Beeston - but they made a second appearance in both these cases.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

I drove past The Junction today. It looks like it has re-opened. (Doors open, newly chalked blackboards.)
Thats good news. There doesn't seem much sign of life at the Old Golden Fleece in Churwell. Anyone know anymore? It was run for a while by a Sikh family without a proper business basis and has closed once again.Personally, I'd doubt whether Churwell will be able to support three pubs long term, (Four including The Woodman).

We wanted to make Leeds a better place for the future - but we're losing it. The tide is going out beneath our feet.

I went past the Old Golden Fleece (Middle 'oil) this evening and it was in darkness.

It does seem about 40% have closed permanently in the last 15 years, with about another 30% closed on and off.It has been a very dark grey miserable winter so far.

Can anyone give any info on when this pub closed or any other relevant info. I remember this pub in it's former glory. A Tetly pub called the Courtier. I remember the "Melbourne Ales" signing and the windows had the bowing courtier etched into them. The off-sales dept. was on the left. I passed it every day on my walk to Oak Tree School. If only I'd been a 12 year old into taking photo's of pubs! Later, when it was called the Oak Tree and became a sort of a free house, it sold Youngers ales and had live bands on a night. It never seemed busy though.
