Si, whats the Albion like these days. Whenever iv'e been in recently its been dead, with 1 or 2 in thats all. I'm so surprised that its still open. Shame, but I really think the place's days are numbered!

Shame, but I really think the place's days are numbered! Not great, I'm afraid. I've stopped going in. It's got new black and gold signs, no cask ale (just John Smith's and Tetley's extra bloody-freezing cold) and it's all been painted cream and dark brown inside. They've also gone round with the old atmosphere hoover! This is just my opinion. Other pubs are available.

Real shame, I hope it doesn't close, but its seems to have been on a gradual decline for years now.

It was on the corner of Holbeck Lane and Domestic Street - address 83 Holbeck Lane.     Many thanks for that drapesy i was just sitting down writing a blog about beer and tea for an other thread and the Volunteer came     into my head i think i must be going round the twist.I must use the Leodis site more often then i would not have to ask about long gone pubs on here.

Drapesy, has The Market Tavern already appeared on here? I think it gets a mention on the Queenie's Castle thread. It's appeared on the Millgarth thread, so just in case, I'll put a picture of it on here. 1947, from Leodis.
