A bit of a troublesome pub as I recall and I think the bar at Moss Isley in the Star Wars film was modelled on it. i mentioned the courtier quite early in this thread...it was just like the bar on moss eisley, much worse than the one on shameless!
i do believe, induced by potent circumstances, that thou art' mine enemy?

When it opened it was the pride of Melbourne's estate - in a great location near busy streets and shops and between 2 cinemas. Many of my generation will remember it as a venue for live music. sadly it fell on very ropey times and after one police raid too many was closed down. Remember the Fforde Grene well. . . .after it's halcyon days were over ,you could get free Boxing-Lessons their most weekends.

Here's a leodis pic of it. - 1965 - I suspect demolition followed shortly after. It was on the corner of Holbeck Lane and Domestic Street - address 83 Holbeck Lane.

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

And a further pic taken at the same time - looking down Domestic Street. The' Double Diamond' sign shows that it was an Ind Coope house.
