Ex Merchant Seaman, jumped ship in NZ in 1970...ex pat Leeds Lad. Born/lived lower end Camp Road, then up to York Road in the early sixties.

sorry if been mentioned before:the Wyther Hotel ( yorkshire man ) cockshott lane Weasle - Roker Lane PudseyNew Inn Tong Road has shut now.

Hi to you ollie you hit the nail right on the head i can still picture my mum god rest her soul three jobs she did in the day plus all the house work brought me and my sister up on her own.no washer just peggy tub mangle still found time to make home made bread cakes.We were just kids didnt know what she had to put up with.never heard her complain lots more in the same situation it makes me mad when i hear people say they cant manage. Well got that of may chest nice to have a chat with you

Also, a long time ago, there was a Traveller's Rest near the end of Bankhouse Lane, or so I'm told. Is it The Fleece or The Regent that closed, also near the end of Bankhouse Lane, but on the opposite side? Can't remember which. Incidentally, anyone remember the Asda that was near there? One of the first to be built, I believe, but now flattened for housing.Was the Weasle the Pig and Whistle?

Haven't been in for years.     Now i know you ment past it for years Yo u see i have found why pub threads get the most hits .Directions thats the answer eg where is the asda go up the road past the Lord Cardigan to the Regent go past the Regent to the F leece turn right after about twenty five yards So simple dont know why i did not spot this before.
