Well blow me! I wasn't sure who could make it as i never got the final msg been at work! I spent about 15 minutes searching the roundabout. In the flower beds too! The petunia's soon bounce back up...oops sorry :-/ I got in the Roscoe about 16.50. Andy & Noel were cracking on with the Ark & i got settled in the tap room in the corner reading the paper. I probably didn't look like a guy intersted in photography or history, More like a rough builder in a hi-viz jacket. I was only going to have a few pints as you do then got chatting to Andy & next thing... ding ding Time Gentleman Please & slightly worse for wear!! I caught Noel painting his Ark with Andy's legs half way up the ladder on this shot of him building his latest master piece!

A rather suspicious concrete pad on the floor here but Noel & Andy reckon it's been moved when the flower bed was added! I even nipped in the Eldon for a pint this dinner time as i'm working on the same street to see if they knew were it was! No luck yet!

I think I saw you. I was wearing black trousers and a white shirt. I also wear glasses. I was watching out for a bloke with a huge camera!Funny you should say that, I often go in there with the intention of having a swift one and end up there all night, must be the staff! The concrete pad I think is an inspection hatch, it appears to have a lifting eye in it, but no screw holes where the plaque would have been fixed to it.

Well there were only about 5 fellas in at that time so we must have seen each other! No i wasn't bringing my good camera to work or down the pub, Bad idea where beer is concerned i took my trusty little compact out! There are 2 concrete pads as you say they both look like inspection covers! I think the plaque is long gone now mate!

Some of the other regulars are of the same opinion. One even went so far as to say it had been melted down and weighed in. It was quite a thick piece of brass apparently.Shame if that's true.

Most probably did. As you say Tony a real shame! It'd be good to get the tradition of the 8 a.m beer aniversary thing going again tho!!
