The Yew Tree.Newall Carr RoadIn Otley 'proper' at last!! An attractive and historic building, that looks to have undergone a lot of changes over the years. An old farmhouse it was converted into a pub in 1970.

The Westbourne.Bradford Road.Closed as a pub around the turn of the century I believe(ie 2000 ish, not 1900!!!), Now the 'Westbourne Spice' indian restaurant. Not a total loss - you can still get a pint of Kingfisher, and I'm partial to a curry, me!

Mason's Arms.2 Bradford Road (Robinson's 1901 directory)Originally known as 'The Skinner's Arms'Closed 1981.Now a private dwelling - as 'the old Masons Arms' - it retains several pub features - the stained glass windows are very pub-like - and the mounting for the sign survives. It was obviously once 2 cottages - in what was once a doorway on the left the 'beer drop' survives.

The side of the Mason's Arms - showing where tiny windows have been put in after an adjacent dwelling was demolished many years ago. Two of these tiny windows have brilliant stained glass that obviously date from its time as a pub

The Cross Pipes.38 WestgateAn unusually named inn , (possibly now a unique name.)Signs outside the pub state that the pub dates back to 1762, and that it retained its own brewhouse until the 1920s - being the last pub in Otley to brew its own beer on the premises. [The veracity of this last statement is open to question - see the entry below for the Bowling Green.](Directories: first found; Baines 1822)The pub has its own websitehttp://www.thecrosspipesotley.com/index.html

Plaque outside the Half Moon that explains a little of its history. [ well done , incidently, to the powers that be for the plaques in Otley, of which there are several]
