Re: Tetley welllington inn
Very interesting photo. The description say's all buildings now gone, but i believe the building behind the bus is the works of C.f Stead on Sheepscar street north /bottom of scott hall rd.The roof of the building became unstable in high winds and was removed By Irwin's Builder's in the 1960's?.So i think this section of road is between Scott Hall Road and chapeltown road. But it must have been a sight seeing the Bus coming up Buslingthorpe lane from Meanwood Road.

No 21 Buslingthorpe Lane at the junction with Stanhope Terrace. The Leodis website has photos of the front and rear.

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Thanks buffaloskinner for the map showing the location of the Wellington Inn
. From the caption with the photo I had assumed that the inn was quite near to Meanwood Road but it was in fact quite near to Chapeltown Road (the 'Chapeltown' part of that is given incorrectly as 'Chapletown' in the caption).
