Just to be clear, this is the biggest lake in Roundhay.I have been told that its about 1.6 miles, and some have said its less.I cant find out the true distance on line neither.Does anybody no at all?Thanks very much Phaze

Never fear help is at hand.. You seem to be exactly 1 mile too long.. The widest point of the lake is 0.6 miles or 1,050.88yds give or take the odd inch or 2 of course

It's almost exactly a mile around... Good for racing yourself on the bike!

I was under the impression it was 2 miles round?

If its 0.6 along the length, then allowing for the curves in and out around the edge, surely it's much more than a mile round

Have a look on this site
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/You can map the distance round the lake (or any distances), which I make to be 1.5112 miles, see the attached image. Even if I am not 100% accurate it is more that a mile!

I went round last year on the bike with trip reset.From the bollards at the lakeside cate right round and back to the bollards is 1.7 miles.Iwas using it to gauge time and speed for doing the leeds half.

I always believed its 1.5 miles, as i know some lads who were training for the army got told by trainers.
