Restaurant in Horsforth Hall Park

I have been trying to remember the name of the restaurant which used to be in Hall Park in Horsforth. This would have been during the 1970s and 1980s. Anyone able to recall?

I do remember there was a Restaurant in a small Park, Horseforth owned by the Stanhope ( ?) family. could this be the one. The owner around the 1960s was the first to ban smoking on his premises
Not being too familiar with that area i could be well off.

Just realised that place was always known as at Rodley.

Not Low Hall, that was the other side of the A65.

It was an Italian restaurant. Might it have been called The Roman Garden? I visited it on several occasions. My recollection of its name could well be incorrect as is often the case these days.

I lived in Horsforth and can confirm that It was certainly The Roman Garden in 1979: we enjoyed a lovely meal there on my 30th birthday.

Hi uncle mick the TAORMINA the Taormina was on New Road Side it was on the parade next to the Fleece Pub it is now Gropolos think thats how its spelt.Roman Garden was right in the middle of Horsforth Park we are going back a few years been in the Roman Garden a few times in the distant past.
