The woods in the corner of King Alfred's Field in Moortown, wich border David Lloyds and Cardinal Heenan high school - does anybody know what all the broken down walls were for? If you walk through the woods, you come across the remains of recent-ish stone walls (or, you did about three years ago) This was in the main section of the woods, not the newly expanded bit across the top of the field.

Not entirely sure where you mean, but the area behind the rocks down to the Ring Road/Tongue Lane, all the way up to where the David Lloyd thingy is, used to be farm fields with crops when I grew up there in the 60s and 70s. There were walls between the fields. There was a triangulation station on one of the filed boundaries. Some, possibly all, of this area has now been reclaimed as public space. Is this where you mean?
