I'm guessing at one time that they would have been in two totally different townships so originally won't have both been in Leeds as it is now...

It seems to be a mystery the Henconner name, I can't find a reference to it anywhere else except in Leeds

How about "the lane where someone fraudulently deals in poultry"? "Hen" can also be a dialect or slang term for "woman", in which case something darker may be involved.

Apparently "to con" or "conner" were used in the 17thC as nautical terms meaning to guide . Perhaps the terms came ashore to refer to hen keepers.

Ive actually read that cockshott is a corruption of cockshoot pretty much as it sounds yeah
