Being a kid way before the "no smacking" rule was introduced I regularly found myself in bother,and often got a "twilt round the lughole" and occasionally a right clattering(usually well deserved I might add)There are loads of other ways to describe a good walloping,what do others remember being threatened with as kids?

when i was a kid, me dad used to say to us (me and my 5 sisters 2 brothers) "come here! whilst i dot you one" me mam used to say " i'll tan that bloody A*** if you dont sit still, then you wont be able to sit down for a week"

My mum used to lay into me mercilessly. She used to threaten with my dad and what he'd do to me when he got home. To be honest I can't remember my dad every laying a finger on me.

My Grandma always uses a phrase similar to one 'Arry used in another thread, She always says Blummin ummers! She's a Leeds lass and i was wondering if this is just a local saying or if it spreads further afield!

My dad used to say "Bloody roll on and wrap up" if owt went wrongI've never heard the expression said by anyone else,but I use it with my kids.let's have a gander-take a lookkellybogo= moneygloit=idiotdipoid=dipstick/idiot (one of my own sayings to the kids)
