A bridge to far-the mystery line!

Sorry, my picture has shrunk a bit, but there is definitely track on the bridge, but ONLY on the bridge!? It may be that the map to the west is dated slightly differently as this is a composite digital historical map so may be formed from differently dated map sections. I'll skim through the other maps I have of this area and see when (if) the other sidings appear. You should see if you can find any remains of Castleton bridge near here, which once carried a line over the Harrogate line to Albion Works.

The first map where the sidings are shown is the 1972 map, so it's fair to guess they were constructed as part of the industrial museum (there might be a line on the 1968 map but hard to tell at the scale I have). I'm sure that there's pictures on Flickr of the museum railway; I've never visited myself despite it being on my doorstep.

Couldn't see anything on flickr, but sure I have in the past (looking under 'Armley mills'). It's a narrow gauge system, possibly just a storage area these days, everything looks a bit decrepit. There was at one time talk of building a line to connect the Kirkstall Abbey railway with the mills museum, as part of the Kirkstall Valley country park project. I think a bridge was constructed with this in mind when the new Morrisons store was developed. It sounds a bit ambitious to me.
