I have seen this thread somewhere and have tried looking for it to no avail. If the subject has been covered can admin.attach this comments.Thanks. Just heard that operations are to resume at LGI which must be a great relief to parents of children who were just about to have operations. It's an absolute disgrace that the unit was closed by the committee headed by Sir Bruce Keogh based on such spurious evidence that he put forward last week. It would seem even after the court case was won to keep the unit open, the NHS seem detirmined to close it by whatever means. Sir Bruce should apologise to all the people connected to the unit and the patients he has alarmed by his actions. he should then think about his future as head of the NHS.

I would be more concerned if the Neo-natal surgery unit closed - there were only 2 units in the country that could have tackled my nephew's op about 13 years ago (Gt Ormand St and LGI). He came through with no problems at all.

Oh dear I'm sad to hear that as I know by personal experience how traumatic cancelled ops can effect people. This Keogh chap has a lot to answer for!
