Too easy.. It's the bridge abutment for the Leeds & Bradford line next to the removed bridge section for Copley hill sheds on Copley hill.

Bugger!! nearly there, these were the steps that led up to the old station at Wortley. You have some pictures of the disused line coming off the main line and goes over the bridge over oldfield lane. There was a bridge that was removed and this was practicallly overhead!

mmm. not sure if it was steps for Wortley station Simon.. As far as i know there were 2 stations, Either Farnley & Wortley or Wortley & farnley. One was on the Leeds-Manchester line originally & later moved over on to the L.N.W.R viaduct line later. You can still see the original station building on Whitehall road

Just to complicate things further, the old Armley Moor station on the Leeds-Stanningley-Bradford Exchange line (off Carr Crofts/Tong Road) used to be known as Armley & Wortley.

I can get a good arial pic sometime. I used to have it saved on my hard drive.. You can clearly see this area Simon & the stations were deffinately not here.. It was all siding space e.t.c... The station were bang opposite each other the other side of Dragon bridge on Whitehall road. You can see the station buildings to this day still.
