Help! Whats this? Tram memorbilia

Hello everyone, I have attached a pic of a piece of Leeds tram memorabilia, only thing is I don't know what it is or where it was used. I am hoping one of you knowledgable chaps will come up with an answer. I have asked Phill D personally if he has any ideas as I admire his work on the Leeds tram subject, and he suggested posting on here.It is made of brass and looks like it used to have two pins sticking out the back but are nowbroken off. It looks worn so could have been on the floor somewhere? on a tram? I dont think it is a cap badge, its heavy and has too much wear.The design looks a bit art deco so may be from the 20's?Please help if you can.

Hi Phill, by gum but I got confused for a minute then. I think I got the hang now, it kept tellin me error so I kept trying, didnt know it had posted! doh. I am watching your vid right now, I think you could be right about the pedal theory though, makes sense and the wear could be off someones foot, like some of the old bangers I've had in the past with no rubbers on the pedals.

Secret Leeds sure is one temperamental website to get used to, most likely it's as temperamental as the old trams themselves. There is a certain knack to it that no one seems to have mastered yet. I have just watched Phills video on YouTube and with his suggestion in mind I paused the film at 3.20 and low and behold, if you look between the drivers feet you will see two very good contenders for this Disc. What do you think ?

I am flaberghasted, all I can say is thank you. I'm pretty sure it was a pedal, and I'm pleased it was part of a tram and not a building. chuffed, thanks Phill.

Hers another curiosity, this was found by a very good friend, at the side of the track bed going through Middleton Woods sometime late 60's early 70's.PS....my wife thinks I'm barmy

That's a fine old tramway brick Billy. It's certaily something i've not seen before. It almosts resembles a loaf of I would hazard a guess it was part of a cover along some ducting that housed wiring, or cables perhaps. They used similar things on the railways. Speaking of trams.. i've recently sorted through my late fathers memorobilia and came across a hand written list of " Leeds Trams final dates ". I presume these were the final journeys of the trams on these routes and wondered if anybody would be interested in me posting on here. ?The list goes from route 1 to 29, but cannot verify if the dates are correct as i am a mere whipper snapper who was in short pants when this mode of transport graced our streets.The list also mentions something about trolleybuses and the difference in track gauge between Leeds and Bradford trams.I don't know if similar information as been offered / submitted previously but though it may appeal to persons with a vested interest in this subject.P.s without wishing to deviate from thread, i have also found a list of Leeds cinemas and their closure dates that i will post in the appropriate location.
