Hope you all have a good night there Bill, if they all turn up you might have to open up the "Juncky" next door.
When i worked in a Tailoring factory in Swinegate over 60 years ago we always had our "Works Do's" and Christmas Dinner downstairs in Transport House (Think it was the Canteen) A really fine building. Happy Days.

The Original Leeds City Transport offices. My office was the second window up to the right of the door, which in my day were steps going up to the entrance.
Now its the Malmaison Hotel, they have made a good job of it though.

Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?
Its good to see they have retained the building in near original state. We have lost so many old buildings over the years i am sure with a little thought more could have been saved but then when money rears its ugly head history goes out of the modern windows.Thats supposed to be a pun.
No matter were i end my days im an Hunslet lad with Hunslet ways.
I am the proud owner of the Leeds Coat of arms that used to be above the interior doors up the steps of the main entrance. It was removed by a good friend who sadly passed away recently. It was there until METRO moved to Wellington Street I think around 1990? Buffalo will have seen it many times.
