My dad was Kenneth (Ken)
Ripley. He was a conductor and later a driver in the 1970’s into the 80’s.
Hello ShaRip, I remember your dad very well, and with fondness, never a dull moment, he was always laughing and joking, never saw him miserable once. My mam and dad were friends with your mam and dad when they lived on the Cardinals 1970's. He used to roadie for a professional comedian but I can't remember his name, I also remember when Ken sadly passed away, there was a heck of a lot of people at his funeral which shows what a well liked character he was. Remembered with a smile.

Remember your dad well smashing guy, when playing snooker could always rely on him to ask if we were being sponsored, remember when he passed away we knew he was ill in hospital but got message much better and would be coming home ,sadly not long after we were told he had gone ,there was a feeling then at Middleton that i havnt felt before or since ,he was well liked and respected.
