First time posting on this forum after lurking for quite some time - I've always been too busy to get involved in the past but circumstances have changed so think I can wade in now...I don't know who drove the bus, but I guess you are referring to a photo of said event that was displayed inside the pub. I frequented the Regent often back in the 80s and 90s to see the many bands that appeared there. I remember that photo well. Indeed I have many happy memories of the place and the odd anecdote that I might bore everyone with some time.Regent regulars might also remember the legend over the fireplace:"G.D.T.E.P.M.H."I can remember what it means; anyone else?Oh, and apologies for hi-jacking the thread...if anyone does know the story of the crashed bus, I would love to hear it.

That's it! I've a photo of the photo but haven't managed to up-dump it yet.

Might the fact that "Brother Eamon" was once the landlord of the Regent have some bearing on the matter?( "Come along, ladies and gentlemen, make a superhuman effort". )

Brother Eamon was indeed the landlord at the Regent before moving to the Abbey, which he has also turned into a G.D.T.E.P.M.H! In fact, Eamon runs such a G.D.T.E.P.M.H that I know of a bloke who actually moved house from London to Bradford just so that he could drink there!
