Hope the photo posts o.k.Only got one shot,flat battery on phone/cameraAfter I took the shot thedriver parked them side by side for photographers.As I left an open top d/decker red with white banding was just arriving.

Fleet numbers 5504 and 5507

I saw a Yorkshire Rider bus and I think the other bus shown, together at City Square in Leeds this morning a little before noon. I'm sure there were other bus liveries in the area, as I was wondering what was going on!

Typical, you wait ages for a Heritage bus in an interesting livery and TWO come along at once!

They were running to commemorate the 25th birthday of 5507 (the green one), which was the first Optare bodied double decker and was actually delivered as a coach in the brown livery. 5504 incidently was one of the last Roe bodies built, being finished off at ECW, Lowestoft. http://www.typg.org.uk/fri8oct_event.htmlThe red open topper was 5003, which was also ex WYPTE and is now preserved as an open topper.Fleetline    

Keighley are Transdev with a green front half and blue rear.

Harrogate and District (also Transdev) have a fairly new livery of caramel and dark red, doing away with the red and white colour scheme of previous years on the 770.The 36 has it's own livery as befits the county's poshest bus service.If the buses in Leeds were based on Thomas the Tank Engine, Gordon would be the 36.

Does anyone remember the Goldrider coaches? I thought they were really special when I was a kid, due to my hardly ever seeing them!

They were so quick off the mark!
