Went to Harrogate from Leeds on the train.Didn't there used to be a station at Huby?What happened??

It has long amused and intriqued me why the station at Huby is called Weeton as that village is not even next to the rail track.

When the Leeds to Thirsk Line was constructed the village as such of Huby did not exist as a village and grew up later around the station of Weeton, that was named after the village of nearby Weeton
