Sorry folks, I'm afraid I can't recognise either of them from the picture - it would be interesting to know what year the filming was done ??, as the general wearing of uniform caps was diminishing by late 1969 when I joined as a "direct driver."

Hi thereI was there when they were filming Billy Liar on the Sunday down Green Lane, Armley. They had just knocked some of the houses down off of Green Lane and I went with a friend whilst they were filming the Tank scene and we had to climb on the tank with Tom Courtney. I couldnt climb up onto the tank as I was laughing so much.I did manage to get Tom Courtney and the Director John Schlesingers autograph but later lost it.I think it was 1961 as I still had my pony tail lol.I do remember the beautiful eyes Tom had they were ever so blue.He seemed quite shy.

On the same site are stills from This Sporting Life, with pictures of a LCT AEC Regent and a West Riding Guy Wulfrunian.http://www.busesonscreen.net/screen/screenfmt.htm

Just one slight error though in the caption - 3910 UB (910) was indeed an AEC Regent V, but it was the first of a batch with MCCW "Orion" bodies and was not from the famous local Roe factory at Crossgates.
