Anything planned for Leeds...Pie in the sky!I was looking at some old newspapers the other day.The Father in law keeps the old Y.E.P supplements. He has some from 1971.I got to the 1991 edition of the Y.E.P.Guess what?We had an artists impression of how wonderful the new Leeds supertram was going to look. That was way back in 1991.How much was it waisted (30 million?) on planning and purchase orders. What have we to show for it 18 years later?NOTHING!

I don't recall having seen anything about this latest 'consultation'. Any idea when or where this leaflet was published(Lee - there already is a thread on the NGT theme, http://www.secretleeds.co.uk/forum/Mess ... ghLight=1I wonder if it might be appropriate to combine the two as this seems to be the next stage? You can move it yourself if you think so.)

We're still waiting for the promised monorail that was going to go past my old dads house - at bedroom window height!Whatever happened to that? This current scheme is marketing tosh to disguise the fact that we're getting no money (what there is is going to subsidise the Olympics) and will end up with more bendybuses that no-one likes or wants, if we are lucky.

Translates to:Environmental-ecofriendly transport strategy is a priority so long as there is nothing more 'important' to pay for

Rats! No Lee, I thought you could but you can only move to another forum rather than another thread. Bit limiting isn't it? I was sure that was what it meant, oh well.

Monorail? Isn't that more of Shelbyville idea?
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.
