Glad you did Leodian - at least it shows it wasn't too obscure a quip by me     Actually I must confess to poaching the idea from that incredibly wonderful "Two Ronnies" sketch based on "Mastermind" - but that's another story.

There is a report on page 5 of the Yorkshire Evening Post (YEP) today (Dec 18 2013) in which it states "People in Leeds may have to wait until the middle of 2015 to learn the fate of the city's trolleybus plans". This is a link to the online version of the report in the YEP website:- http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... -1-6322329

Copied from,BBC Look North (Yorkshire) Facebook page.Plans to cut nearly 300 jobs at Leeds City Council will be heard by senior councillors later. The authority must save £81m over the next two years - and council leader Keith Wakefield has said it must start thinking the unthinkable. Since 2010 more than 1,800 jobs have already been lost at the council. LCC have to provide Circa £70m funding, towards the Folleybus.

OBSCENE is the only word I can think of to adequately describe this latest development of job cuts and STILL Folleybus is rearing its expensive and VERY ugly head !!
