BLAKEYS most excellent piccies2) Handsome "Feltham" 561, loading in City Square for "New Inn 16 Wortley." No finer sight and sound than these splendid cars sailing up Tong Road to New Inn or 15 Whingate. I supposed I am biased, being their number one fan - and how splendid looking they were for 1930 !!

number 2 Picture here of the "Cinderella" of the single deck trio. The ex Sunderland car number 600 - approaching Bridge End on the way back from Hunslet, destination blinds already altered for yet another trip from Swinegate to the heart of Leeds heavy engineering. The conductress is in rather a cavalier stance and could easily fall out. Salem Chapel is still there today but, my, how the World has changed !

and three 3) Another "Feltham" showing its enormous size - and performing the near impossible manoeuvre of turning from Kirkgate into York Street for a return journey to the splendid reserved parkland track at Templenewsam 22.

Am I going mad? I'm sure someone posted a picture a tram coming up Princes Avenue off the reserved track crossing over Lidget Park Road, looking down towards Oakwood.I was going to comment that there was a little box there next to it, that isn't there now, and was going to comment as to why there may have been two boxes in close proximity. If any one knows, please can you restore my sanity? Thanks!

Ah found it!!! I think I have nicked this from Brunels Flicker, hope you don't mind. I'll remove it if you want me to.I wonder why there were two boxes, or if there was one and it was moved to further away?

There must have been two boxes. the one i found isn't this one. It was over the road. Opposite the allotments on Lidgett park road. It was a little distance away from the tram lines.

I wonder if it is the same one relocated? The one that's there now seems to be too far from Princes Ave to have been any use? Hopefully someone can answer.....Thinking about it, is there also one of these boxes on Mansion Lane, just where the grass starts, behind the wall after the car park of the Roundhay Fox?

I have (and I'm sure many more on here have) a print called "Twilight of the Trams" which shows a Feltham and a Horsfield on Lower Briggate (also a B16 on the railway bridge)
