Oh it gets worse, if and only if that's possible. Don't say there's a threat of demolition, or at least unacceptable disruption, over the superb new Headingley Health Centre in Shire Oak Street ??

Don't panic Blakey. The new NGT road will pass at the rear of the new health centre.....only just missing it by circa 10mtrs.So close that the existing air conditioning equipment will require relocating.....phew!No vehicles will be allowed to cross the route from Shire Oak St. only bikes and pedestrians.Draft plan: http://tinyurl.com/pvxwjdg

And there you have it, Leeds answer to a modern integrated transport scheme to be proud of.*A few yards of guided busway, f.t.r buses to Bradford, a few battery buses, and a one route Follybus.Complete embarrassment and total humiliation for this City isn't it? The promise of cleaner environment friendly transport is also a load of claptrap!

Widescreen view of the fields adjacent to Hinsley Hall. The Folley bus dedicated road will be crossing these fields, and a substation, will be constructed, to the left. Most of the trees to be removed, and the horses will have to go.The houses will be seeing a more modern view. The draft plan can be seen here: http://tinyurl.com/p2e2g85Original picture, full size: http://tinyurl.com/ly2l6g5

Spot on Phill, and a great set of pictures to illustrate the point !! One thing though, the picture of the "Purple slug" is when they were on the 4 route, and the "marketing besotted" powers that be were quite confident that by fitting tin wheel spats and calling them "streetcars" and operating them with "pilots" we thick bus passenegers (and staff) would accept that Utopia had arrived. Notice that "streetcar" and "ftr" have quietly disappeared from the vocabulary.

The Western end of the dedicated road for the Folley, will end at Alma Road. From there, the Folley will have to enter and exit from Alma Road, which is quite narrow, it is being slightly widened by only the width of the present footway. The exit on to Otley Road is sure to create another bottleneck, being only a short distance from Shaw Lane. You can view a larger image here: http://tinyurl.com/orpljkx
