Does anyone have any idea how old the bridge they are taking down at Cross Gates station is?

The line was built in 1834, I doubt if the bridge has been up since then tho. I reckon it must be a 100yr old easily.. Here's a nice page about the line http://www.lner.info/article/selby/selby.shtml

There's an old bridge abutment from the original Middleton railway line of 1758 where it crossed the Midland main line & ran towards the coal staithes at Casson street (No longer in existance near to Leeds bridge) This view is from the bottom of Dewsbury road looking towards Hunslet. The bridge would have been built in 1846 when the Midland dug out the cutting to reach Leeds Wellington station.

At the start of the first world war there was a "Leeds Pals" tram positioned on the loop line outside the Morely Town Hall. It was there during 1914 and was used to recruit volunteers for the Pals battalion. Does anyone know what became of it
