The wide section of the Talavera Street tunnel has gone Phill, as it was cut away with the re-modelling. If you go through the tunnel though, the site of what was once the "open" section part way along can be discerned, as that had to be covered in when the second curve down to Whitehall Junction was constructed.Nice view and maps. They confirm my memories from my post immediately before yours.

"get off out there and take a look yourself behind the trees and overgrown bushes. Those long lost places are like time warps just waiting to be found and explored." i know Phill but your trespassing links put me off somewhat

If you gotta go you gotta go!     If she can go up there, I'm sure you can

I notice the 1850 map shows a 'Prussiate Works'. I have just looked prussiate up and found it is "1. A ferrocyanide or ferricyanide.2. A salt of hydrocyanic acid; cyanide". I hope there is no cyanide still around but I would not want to eat any vegetables that may be grown there!

Swing the view in your link round to the right. You can see the railway bridge across Gelderd Road. To its right is a brick wall. This was the abutment to a now demolished second bridge, with a space between the two. The entrance to the ramped entrance was between them. It must also be remembered that Gelderd Road ran in a straight line between the existing railway bridge I mention and the bridge at Wellington Road by the roundhouse. The wall standing on its own on the roundabout marks the old position of the road.

No Pablo, I merely warned you about the new CCTV ball camera up on that viaduct, the same camera that saw some other people on it and had Network rail round in the van looking for them. If you want to trespass on live railway property, fine go ahead, go for it!!Let me know if you got the full £1000 fine, and criminal record                 I wouldn't bother asking me for any more advice or help again if you have no intention of taking any notice of it, it seems a bit pointless to me, but there you go, each to their own!

sorry Phill think we're getting our wires crossed.i just wasn't sure if this area we're currently discussing (hill where holbeck high/low level was) was also private cos you said even if disused it's still classed as "railway property"wasn't planning to ignore your earlier advice about trespassing. quite the opposite, was being overly cautious infact hence me asking if this was off limits too just like Central viaduct
