(if memory serves me correctly) You are right: "Ker-ching a cheaper, Ker-ching a Saverstrip!" was the slogan.12 trips for the price of ten wasn't it?Cheap fares and bargains on the buses? That would never do nowadays would it?

Roe-bodied AEC Regent lll buses ( considered by many the most elegant buses operated by Leeds City Transport ) fleet numbers 601 - 625 were the last new buses to be delivered in blue livery inJune 1950 . This is fleet number 602 . An advertisement from " Transport World " of 4 July 1953 .

A picture that might bring back a few memories [the original is not ideal I'll try to find a better photograph .A Roe-bodied centre-entrance AEC Regent lll in the red livery of buses operating on the former West Riding tram routes . The service from Sandal to Leeds terminated at the number one tram curve at Corn Exchange [below the Guinness clock] mentioned in another thread .

ROUNDHEGIAN WROTE : -A Roe-bodied centre-entrance AEC Regent lll in the red livery of buses operating on the former West Riding tram routes . The service from Sandal to Leeds terminated at the number one tram curve at Corn Exchange [below the Guinness clock] mentioned in another thread . After the Corn Exchange curve was closed, West Riding built their own little bus station in York Street (opposite the dreadful abbattoir) for service 10 to Kettlethorpe and 18 to Rothwell.

It was really strange the other week I went to a railway fair at the Davy Social club in Sheffield with my other half. On the way back we were trundling up the M1, only to see a blue Ledgard bus with the destination in Leeds. I think it was Crossgates from memory but can't remember. We were going about 60, and wizzed straight past it. Does anyone know what it would have ben doing there. I thought it was maybe on its way back to Keighley?
