Believe it or not but 47562 was fixed up, and renumbered twice since the crash. It still runs today as 47760http://www.class47.co.uk/c47_numbers.php?ft=y& ... 7562Here's a video of it running in September 2012http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Nwe1cX8-eQ

She was indeed Phil although strictly speaking the cab isn't from the original loco, she recieved a doner cab during a prolonged visit to Crewe works lol

They are terrific photos BIG N of an incident that I had forgotten about. Such photos and recollections show how valuable the Secret Leeds site is.Judged by the amount of damage it seems amazing that there were no serious injuries.

The nose crumple zone seeing many drivers walk away from a crash.
