The 55 Route was run by LCT to Bruntcliffe it was originally a replacement for the tram route 24 Morley (Bruntcliffe). Buses replaced the tram in 1935. The Bruntcliffe service 55 ran via Dewsbury Road Wide Lane Middleton Road, Town End, High Street, Britannia Road and Bruntcliffe Road.According to "Tramway Mel"
