There seems to be a theme between former/current public transport workers - WHY?I myself worked on the railway all my life and enjoyed(almost)every minute.Bus people are also as emphatic.Does any other industry create such long term interest?Time for a new thread for people such as us and the rest of the crew in other industries?

That's true. I wonder whether it's because people have a passion for transport where you wouldn't, for instance, have a passion for stitching seams or mopping floors in offices. Bus and train people are actually interested in the vehicles they used.

Bus and train people are actually interested in the vehicles they used. not only the vehicles but the people(larger than life characters)and the places that they served.Long gone and will nevr be replaced no matter how much you recreate/regenerate)it's gone but we know how it wasthis is the place to resurate and keep it alive.
