New Bus Lane on Roundhay Road

Thought this may be of interest. There was a consultation/ leaflet drop about this a year or so ago.There will be a dedicated bus lane on Roundhay Road hedging north out of Leeds, lots of streets to be closed and made one way in Harehills. Lets hope that this will solve the terrible congestion coming out of town. The journey would be great if it were not for this bottleneck. Doesn't help though when people double park outside the shops at the bottom of Harehills Road, or worse park on the road rendering useless what would be space for two lines of traffic.All the info. should be legible on the pic.What is worrying though is that it's dated 3rd July- today. I spotted this at 6.20am 3rd July so they must have been out pretty early putting the notice up!

CITY COUNCIL LEEDS CITY COUNCIL (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS) (NO.M01) ORDER 2013 (TRAFFIC REGULATION) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (NO.W04) ORDER 2013 ROUNDHAY ROAD LEEDS TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES Leeds City Council proposes to make the above Orders under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduce: 1. an outbound bus; pedal cycle and taxi lane between 8:00am and 9:30am and 3:30pm and 7:00pm Monday to Friday inclusive on a section of the south west side of Roundhay Road from a point 77 metres north east of Bankside Street to a point 68 metres south of Sheperds Lane; 2. One way traffic flows on Lambton Terrace (south east to north west); Lambton Street (north west to south east) and Lowther Street (south east to north west); 3. No loading or unloading at any time on sections of both sides of Back Elford Place; Bankside Street; Banstead Street West; Banstead Terrace West; Bayswater Crescent/Row/ Terrace; Beck Road (south side); Elford Grove/place Lambton Grove/Place/Street/Terrace and View; Lascelles Road/Street and Terrace; Lowther Street; Roundhay Road (Harehills); Shepherds Lane; Whitfield Street and Zetland Place; 4. No loading or unloading between 7:00am and 10:00am and 4:00pm and 5:30pm Monday to Friday inclusive on sections of the southeast side of Roundhay Road (Harehills) and between 8:00am and 9:30am and 3:30pm and 7:00pm Monday to Fridays inclusive on the northwest side of Roundhay Road. 5. No waiting at any time on both sides of sections of Back Elford Place; Bankside Street; Banstead Street West; Banstead Terrace West; Bayswater crescent/Row/Terrace; Beck Road (south side); Elford Grove Elford Place West; Lambton Grove/Place/Street/Terrace/View; Lascelles Road West; Lascelles Street/Terrace; Lowther Street; Roundhay Road (Harehills and Oakwood); Sheperds Lane; Whitfield Street; Zetland Place and the northern and southern access to the off street parking area from Roundhay Road. 6. No waiting between (7:00am and l0:00am and 4:00pm and 5:30pm) and (8:00am and 9:30am and 3:30pm and 7:00pm Road Monday to Friday inclusive on sections of both sides of Roundhay Road Harehills7. On Street time limited parking 2 hours no return within 2 hours all days and all hours on sections of both Sides of Roundhay Road at Harehills and 4 hours no return within 2 hours Monday to Saturday 8:00 am to 7:00pm inclusive on sections of both sides of Roundhay Road at Oakwood 8. On Street Parking for vehicles displaying a Disabled persons Badge on Roundhay RoadOakwood (east side, near Oakwell Mount.
