I reckon Gledhow Valley Hall has got to be in with a claim to be one of the oldest 'dwellings' in Leeds ... and it's still inhabited too.http://www.fgvw.co.uk/html/woods/gledha ... Apparently Elizabeth I was on a hunting party there at one time.dsco

I used to deliver the post in there & used to have a good old nosey about the place...pity it's not been upkept with it becoming pretty shoddy these days!!

I think the building at the back of the Corn Exchange is old, 1700's I believe.

Cad Beeston used to belong to the family a friend of mine who owned a joinery business on the site and I thing I'm right in saying that parts of the site go back to before the doomsday book.
