On the right of the Phones4U store (looking across Briggate) there is a narrow passage that is very easily missed. Going up the passage from Briggate it opens out where it turns sharp left to join the passage that has the Packhorse pub in a wider part. There may be nothing special about the narrow passage but I wonder if it has a name, as there did not seem to be one? I wonder how old it is? The photo shows the narrow passage at the right of Phones4U and to the left side of Phones4U is the wider passage that goes from Briggate to Lands Lane that contains the Packhorse. I took the photo today (Oct 18 2010).

This is a photo I also took today (Oct 18 2010) looking down the passage towards Briggate. It was taken near where the passage turns sharp left coming from Briggate.
